Commercial Motor Pricing Actuary

About the Role

Our partner is looking for a Pricing Actuary to support the development of Motor insurance products. This position requires conducting statistical analysis, making necessary assumptions about product and policyholder behavioural trends, and forecasting product results.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyzing insurance portfolios and assessing the adequacy of premiums.

  • Leading tariff projects and maintaining tariffs for Commercial Motor products across the Baltic region (Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania).

  • Forecasting market developments and understanding emerging trends.

  • Developing and improving pricing methodologies and tools.

  • Coordinating Baltic product analysis standards and reporting tools.

  • Driving convergence toward common Baltic pricing processes and expanding tariff-based pricing.

  • Documenting pricing processes and supporting Baltic-wide process development.

  • Collaborating with Actuarial, Underwriting, Data, IT, and other business units on strategic initiatives.

  • Participating in customer-focused initiatives such as segmentation and rating improvements.

What Our Partner Is Looking For

  • Strong analytical or actuarial skills with experience in pricing or portfolio analysis.

  • Ability to interpret complex data and present clear, actionable insights.

  • Knowledge of insurance markets and trends, preferably within motor lines.

  • Familiarity with pricing methodologies and tools.

  • Proficiency in tools such as SQL, Python, and MS Excel, with willingness to learn new technologies.

  • Ability to take initiative and work autonomously with a results-driven mindset.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

  • Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, statistics, econometrics, IT, or a related field.

  • Fluency in English and proficiency in one of the Baltic languages.

Stability

  • Monthly gross salary range:

    • €3600–4500 (Lithuania)

    • €2700–3600 (Latvia)

    • €3500–4400 (Estonia)*
      *The specific amount varies due to differences in employment taxation across Baltic countries.
